Nelly Pai is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan and Head of the Hong Kong IPO and Corporate Finance Group, where she also serves as a member of the firm’s APAC senior leadership team. A veteran of the capital markets, Nelly leads J.P. Morgan’s Hong Kong IPO and capital markets transaction business. Throughout her career, she has advised on significant transactions across Mainland China and the broader Asia-Pacific region with an aggregate deal value exceeding US$100 billion, spanning the technology, healthcare, consumer, and new economy sectors.
Beyond her banking career, Nelly is a prominent figure in Hong Kong’s financial regulatory landscape, serving on the Policy Research Committee of the Financial Services Development Council (FSDC) and as a member of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange’s Listing Review Committee. She also contributes to the Financial & Regulatory Affairs Committee of The Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and serves as a member of the Judging Panel for the Hong Kong Corporate Governance & ESG Excellence Awards.
A Fellow of the HKICPA and CPA Australia, Nelly also contributes to the development of future talent through the HKUST Business School Career Development Advisory Council. Her extensive background in transaction execution, governance, and regulatory trends brings a rigorous, market-oriented perspective to her advisory work.
