Alvis comes to HandsOn Hong Kong with over seven years of experience in project and program management within the non-profit sector. During his time at Habitat for Humanity, he managed and developed regional volunteer programs in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia and Taiwan. Alvis is also an experienced volunteer leader, and has participated in various community service projects in Hong Kong and other developing countries. He spent time in remote areas of Northern Thailand with Plan International, visiting, interviewing and understanding the situation of the region’s under-resourced families. He believes that volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to support NGOs and serve social issues and needs.
