Empowering volunteers, uplifting lives with Cathay
We are thrilled to welcome Cathay as our Lead Partner 2026!
As many of you know, this is a milestone year for our city’s home carrier as they celebrate their 80th anniversary. To honor that legacy, Cathay is stepping up to support our mission in a big way—helping us reach further into Hong Kong’s communities and support the frontline charities that need us most.
Aiming to positively impact 80,000 lives in 2026 through youth development, sports, and art & culture, Cathay will mobilise their team to support weekly activities with HandsOn – and a number of other key community partners.
This year also marks the 10th anniversary of Serve-a-thon, our flagship community service week. We’re so excited to announce that with Cathay as our Lead Partner, we’re doubling the impact with a special extended two-week program, from 10th-24th May 2026, creating more opportunities than ever to get involved!
It is inspiring to see a partner like Cathay put community service at the heart of their celebrations. We can’t wait to see their teams out in the city with us, and we hope you will join them—and us— in uplifting 80,000 lives in 2026!
Our Deputy Executive Director, Lisa, was delighted to join the Cathay team on stage during their launch weekend to share more about our vision for the year ahead. It was incredible to feel the energy – we’re so ready to get started!
We were so moved by the students who stopped by our booth at Cathay City to share their caring messages for the community. These messages will be heading out to seniors and other communities we support—bringing a little extra sunshine to those who need it most.
It was all smiles at the launch as HandsOn and Cathay teams came together to kick off our 2026 Partnership. We’re so excited to see pilots, cabin crew, and ground staff trading the runway for the heart of our community.
