Crypto Giving Tuesday
The community’s responsiveness to evolving needs in the wake of the tragic fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong, has been incredibly moving. The road to rebuilding — both physically and emotionally — will be a long one, and we stand firmly alongside those affected.
Donations are critical to enabling the city’s relief and recovery efforts. Funds raised through Giving Tuesday will support two HandsOn frontline partners in delivering their impactful work: Feeding Hong Kong and Hong Kong Red Cross.
Funds raised will directly support families affected in the Tai Po district.
An accredited member of the Global Food Banking Network, Feeding Hong Kong collects surplus food and redistributes it to charities across the city. Immediate funds will provide food and necessities, and, in the longer term, sustained support to displaced families.
Donate
Hong Kong Red Cross emergency relief efforts are supporting families affected including on-site first aid service, emergency cash assistance, daily necessities, psychological support services and other post-disaster recovery.
DonateUsing Crypto, for good.
In today’s rapidly evolving financial landscape, shaped by digital transformation, the rise of Web3, and shifting donor demographics, philanthropy is becoming more dynamic. Leaders across technology, finance, and the non-profit sector share a distinct commonality: finding innovative ways to power meaningful change and community building.
As one of the first Hong Kong NGOs to accept crypto donations, HandsOn is uniquely positioned to bridge this new form of giving with crucial local needs. We call on our crypto community to respond to the immediate needs of the community affected by the Tai Po fire.
Inviting Crypto Donations
Hong Kong headquartered, Animoca Brands has established a fund to support Hong Kong Red Cross’s relief and recovery efforts. They invite the global crypto community to contribute to two dedicated wallet addresses. All donated tokens will be converted into Hong Kong dollars to directly support Hong Kong Red Cross’s vital work.
Uplifting Hong Kong together
HandsOn Hong Kong empowers everyone to build a better Hong Kong through volunteering. By partnering with local non-profits, HandsOn mobilised volunteers for 3,980 community programs in the past year, supporting over 72,000 individuals. We are proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with these critical frontline organisations Feeding Hong Kong and Hong Kong Red Cross as they coordinate relief efforts for those affected by the tragic Tai Po fire.
